Small lifestyle changes can make a big difference on the environment. Eating more sustainably is a great place to start, and it doesn’t have to be at the cost of flavour. To make it really easy for customers to lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle, Singapore’s most-loved food delivery service, Deliveroo, has teamed up with Impossible Foods to help you leave a green footprint, one meal at a time.

From 15 September – 15 October, Deliveroo and Impossible Foods have pledged to plant one tree in the Amazon rainforest for every Impossible dish* ordered on the platform. Over 200 participating restaurants, including Da Paolo, Three Buns, and PS.Cafe, are serving up a wide selection of delicious plant-based options for the campaign. Order in a feast for yourself or for your family and friends, with peace of mind that you’re doing your part for a better tomorrow.

Ordering a dish made with award-winning Impossible Beef is already an eco-friendly decision because each 113g serving uses 87% less water, 96% less land and 89% less greenhouse gases than conventional ground beef from cows. By participating in the latest initiative, you can also contribute to the reforestation of one of the world’s most biodiverse natural wonders, the Amazon rainforest.

The tree-planting will be conducted by environmental charity One Tree Planted, which aims to restore the ten-million-year-old network of dense forests that makes up  the Amazon. It’s an incredibly important area for carbon capture, the Latin American rainforest comprises half of the planet’s remaining tropical forests. A significant part of the landscape has been converted for the production of food, with up to 80% of deforested land being used to raise cows.

Sarah Tan, General Manager, Deliveroo Singapore, said, “Amazing food doesn’t need to come at a huge cost to the environment. At Deliveroo, we’re committed to giving foodies more sustainable choices in the way that they eat and how they eat it. Impossible dishes on Deliveroo already make it easier for consumers to choose a more sustainable meal, so the partnership with Impossible Foods to plant trees in the Amazon is another irresistible reason to satisfy cravings while contributing to a better planet every day. We’re excited to rally foodies together, one Impossible dish at a time!”

The collaboration between Impossible Foods, Deliveroo and One Tree Planted was first launched in Hong Kong earlier this year with over 50 participating restaurants. Nearly 700 trees were pledged to be planted by the end of the 10-day campaign. Here’s your chance to do the same! Choose an Impossible dish on your next Deliveroo order and plant the seeds for a healthier planet.

* The campaign pledge is capped at 2,000 trees.
