Kickstart your meal with the quintessential Peranakan starter of Nyonya Kuih Pie Tee – crunchy little cracker cups topped with stir fried turnip, garlic, carrot and shrimp. A little drizzle of chilli sauce, a dash of black sweet sauce and shredded omelette will whet your appetite up in no time.

 

Six dishes await to accompany fragrant blue pea pandan rice. Setting the pace is a traditional Nyonya Curry Chickenserved with a whole boneless chicken leg and potatoes cooked to tender perfection, while the Stir-Fried French Bean Hae Bee Hiam is an explosive vegetable dish full of crunch. Beef lovers can opt for the Nyonya Beef Rendang – an ode to the Malay and Indonesian heritage of the Peranakans.

 

Wash it all down with a traditional Lotus Root Soup with Black Beans and end your meal on a sweet note with Bubur Hitam – a creamy delight of black glutinous porridge with brown sugar, pandan leaf, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

 

Other dish highlight includes Nyonya Style Ayam Masak Merah, a savoury-sweet dish of a quarter chicken leg, Pan Fried Prawns with Nyonya Sweet Sour Sauce serving up large pan fried prawns, and Pan Fried Salmon with Caramelised Sauce that is bound to leave you yearning for more.
