“Gyu Sheng” for an OX-picious Chinese New Year!

No CNY celebration would be complete without Yu Sheng, and what better way to usher in the year of the Ox than to celebrate with Prosperity Gyu Sheng ($38.80) from Sumire Yakitori House? “Gyu” means Beef in Japanese; this year, the izakaya have taken it up a notch and curated a delicious version with Beef yakiniku.

This contemporary rendition of the CNY staple comprises generous slices of Beef yakiniku which are meant to be drizzled with onsen egg and yakiniku sauce to enhance the umami flavour of the beef and give it a savoury twist. Prosperity Gyu Sheng serves from 6 to 8 pax. For sashimi lovers, there are options to change the beef to Salmon Sashimi Yusheng and 3-kinds Sashimi Yusheng (Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi).
