WHAT: Starting 6 October, fans of local-favourite Tip Top will be able to further satisfy their cravings for traditional snacks made with delicious and sustainable meat made from plants. The new Cheesy ImpossibleTM  Puff joins the main menu, alongside the ImpossibleTM Rendang Puff launched in March this year. Priced at $3 and $2.20 respectively, consumers now have more planet-friendly, affordable snack options on-the-go with Tip Top’s range of Impossible Puffs.

Famous for its traditional handmade curry puffs, Tip Top has created the halal-certified Cheesy Impossible Puff using Impossible Foods’ game-changing plant-based meat, mixed into a combination of onions, carrots, a generous serving of melted mozzarella cheese, and seasoned with aromatic spices. The Impossible Rendang Puff features Impossible Foods’ plant-based meat, cooked with a special blend of Nonya spices, lemongrass, blue ginger and sambal chilli with ikan bilis (dried anchovies). Both wrapped in Tip Top’s signature pastry skin, golden fried, and brimming with mouthwatering flavours, the snacks are individually crafted the traditional way, true to the iconic brand’s heritage.

WHERE: The Cheesy Impossible Puff will be available starting 6 October until 31 December at all Tip Top outlets in Singapore*, and on delivery platforms including Deliveroo, GrabFood and Foodpanda. The Impossible Rendang Puff remains on the permanent menu at all Tip Top outlets in Singapore*, and on the aforementioned delivery platforms.

PROMO ALERT

For a limited time period, customers can enjoy two Cheesy Impossible Puffs for only $5.

*Excluding Changi Airport.

WHO: Demand for plant-based meat has steadily increased amongst consumers in Singapore since the nationwide launch of Impossible Foods in March 2019. The Silicon Valley-based company’s flagship product, Impossible™ Burger, is now available across a variety of cuisines in nearly 500 restaurants across the island. While tucking into Tip Top’s iconic curry puffs and other Impossible dishes across Singapore, consumers can appreciate the low carbon footprint of a plant-based diet. A 113g serving size of Impossible Foods’ meat, made from plants, uses 96% less land, 87% less water and 89% less greenhouse gasses compared to ground beef from a cow. This means a saving of 7 square meters of land, 3 kg of CO2, and 84 litres of water for each serving consumed. The Impossible Burger rivals ground beef from cows for taste, nutrition and versatility and contains no animal hormones or antibiotics.

Tip Top Curry Puff first opened in 1979 in the Singapore heartland of Ang Mo Kio, serving its famous handmade curry puffs to customers. Since then, Tip Top has established itself as an iconic Singapore heritage brand renowned for delicious traditional handcrafted curry puffs inspired by local and Asian flavours. Every curry puff is made with a special blend of 18 spices, premium potatoes and ingredients. Together with the signature pastry skin, the curry puffs boast a rich and flavourful experience in every bite.
